So why in world do people constantly say this movie is inferior to the rest? There’s an awesome phoenix named Fawkes, a devilishly created Tom Riddle, and a mildly annoying but predominantly adorable house elf named Dobby.Īnd Columbus does a pretty stand-up job with conveying their characters (Lucius Malfoy included) and bringing them into the universe. In his second and final entry in the Harry Potter universe, Columbus attempted to do what every book fan dreams off: to make a movie that stays true to the book. I’m not saying by any means is it better in any way than any other movie on this list, but I applaud his attempts. He wasn’t as much of a trailblazer as his name might entail, but he’s given a bad rap for this film. ![]()
